The term "Standardized Extract" means a particular herb has been prepared through a scientific extraction process until it contains a guaranteed amount of the active ingredient. To prepare a standardized extract, a manufacturer follows a specific protocol that delivers an identifiable amount of active ingredient into the end mixture of compounds. The standardized extract is of a guaranteed strength and consistent amount of active ingredient.
